UNDERSTANDING YOUR SPINNING WHEEL

DESCRIPTION

Joan and her husband Clive are based in south east Wales and run a business, Woodland Turnery, making spinning wheels and also repairing and refurbishing wheels and bobbins etc.

Joan will demonstrate and advise on ways of adjusting and maintaining your wheel to help you get the best out of it, as well as hints on what to look for when buying a wheel.

REQUIREMENTS

All demonstration items will be provided.

TUTOR'S BACKGROUND

Joan has over a decade's experience renovating, repairing and restoring spinning wheels, as well as making the Timbertops Spinning Wheels with her husband Clive.  Joan now writes regularly in Yarnmaker Magazine about her experiences of both buying and repairing different spinning wheels, as well as how to look after them once they are working.
